One the first visit 35 years ago, the museum was a dark forbidding place. It took seven years of arduous restoration, but what's offered now is wonderful experience with good supporting information and old photos of Latrec alongside his studies for famous painting handing elsewhere. There's a nice collection of modernists as well.

I was so excited to see this museum and was disappointed. So many wonderful paintings byLautrec and his counterparts. It gave. Avery informative explanation on the Audio guide but there were also laminated pieces of information in English German and French that were a nice touch. Staff spokenEnglish at the front desk and were helpful. The buildings and gardens are... More

Toulouse Lautrec is well known name, nevertheless his work is not so wide known, he died young but one can see the potential he had. Many of his work is unique, he is good imitating, creating his own style, depicting his time and the idiosyncrasy of France. If you like art this museum is for you!

This exhibition was an eye opener. As well as all the posters and paintings we all know there were T-L's fabulous drawings and paintings of animals and people, most revealing a sharp sense of humour.

This is an excellent museum, housed in a beautiful space, located a few yards from the spectacular and unique Saint Cecile Cathedral. When I was there, there were small groups of what looked like five and six year old school kids being given lessons on various works of art as they sat cross-legged on the floor. What enlightened people the... More

Every room has an information sheet (french, english and spanish). You have information on the painter and the theme. And some information about 3 paintings/drawings. Which is enough. Lots of similar stuff. Some people had a guide and they talked a lot about the building, which I preferred. Very nice ceilings.

The Bishops palace is interesting, and a number of rooms have been stripped back to reveal original floors, walls etc from the 14th -16th century. The formal gardens (which can be accessed without ticket) are gorgeous, and there is a lovely view from the terrace across the parterre gardens to river and town beyond. Not exactly a picnic spot, but... More
