Worthy world heritage site. Most beautiful art I've ever seen in a cathedral. Beautiful without the gilt and opulence of many churches.

Plan to spend a couple of hours in this beautiful museum, the former Bishop's Palace. The largest collection of Toulouse-Lautrec's paintings and drawings are located here and arranged beautifully. The audioguide is an excellent companion with which to view and appreciate the paintings and to learn about T-L's life.

Fascinating to see all the photos of TL's life and also the artwork that artists who knew him did of him. All phases of his work displayed and this is a must-see if you are in the area.

The visit to the musee Toulouse-lautrec is a must do event. The exhibition follows the development of TL's works up to his better known posters. Thoroughly enjoyed visit. Use the audio guide (various languages) to walk the visitor through the works. The exhibition Is set in the palais de la Berbie (former archbishop's palace) is an feature in itself. Entry... More

This museum has got a fabulous collection of its city's most famous son - Toulouse-Lautrec. The exhibition has a lifetime focus with special emphasis on the early work donated by his mother to the museum. The museum in itself is beautiful and my only complaint is the not very service minded receptionist in the front room (where we bought our... More

You're familiar with those vivid posters by Toulouse Lautrec? Well, this museum was dowdy. It seemed full of trivia, faded trivia that was not wanted elsewhere. Perhaps old and original, but not inspiring.

This one of two reasons we made the trip to Albi as part of an exhausting week which had included a visit to Paris. The garden is attached to the Cathedral Sainte Cécile (reviewed separately). The garden are in front of what was the defensive wall of the Castle fort that eventually became the Cathedral and resident of the local... More

Not only has this museum got a fabulous collection of works by its city's most famous son but the building itself has been wonderfully restored and is itself a delight. The exhibition of the Toulouse-Lautrec work is superbly hung and covers the different phases of his career with especial emphasis on the early work donated by his mother to the... More

Thhis museum/art gallery is housed in a really interesting old building. The exhibits cover all of Toulouse-Lautrec's work from his schoolbooks full of doodles to his celebrated pieces. Really worth a visit if you are into art.

This was quite an interesting museum with a reasonable selection of work and details of Lautrec's life. The gardens are very attractive an offer a view to the old bridge and the river.
