Not actually Diana's...

Ignore the name and just have a good wander about. There are some great remnants of stone carving and you can get a real feel for the structure as it would've looked.

its an average place to visit, badly illuminated during night, and even scary. The garden is better to visit

This Temple is a part of the Jardine de la Fontaine which can easily be reached from Tour Magne and it takes only about 10 minutes walk through the gardens down to Temple. It was a lovely sunny day when we visited. Beautiful.

Superbe roman building, apparently not a temple though. Well worth an hour to contemplate and look around and wonder at the complexity of the construction. A gem

The temple (more likely for the cult of the emperor, rather than Diana) is a ruin protected by a wrought iron fence. There is no access except for limited views through the bars of the fence. The temple is at the edge of a lovely, large park on the site of the ancient forum.

No work has been done on the temple and its in a corner of the park. It had rained the the area inside the temple very muddy. Still definitely worth a visit as part of wandering the public gardens,

Nimes has several Roman monuments. This is among the less interesting ones. It's located in the Jardins de la fontaine, and it's worth a look, little more. Devote your energies to getting up to the Tour Magne.

This small temple tucked away at the left hand side of the park was lovely. Surrounded by trees it has a lovely sense of place.

Not sure i knew what to expect even after reading different sources on the Temple of Diana. Certainly, one can appreciate the architectural complexity of the stonework and design. The Temple (or more probably a library) has suffered neglect and an explosion over the years. A metal plague at the entrance provides some of that history. At first view I... More
