I might have previously reviewed another Montpellier aqueduct thinking it was this one but this one is just past the arc de T and is surrounded by a lovely park that has a spectacular view North, West and South. Nice trees, great sunsets, and miscellaneous music (A brass Klezmer band performing Macklemore). We walked many evenings and in a hot... More

Lovely ancient aquaduct. Try the market under the arches on a Saturday morning... it is a stunning piece of architecture and well worth a visit

Amazing to see such constructions still standing. Free to see and touch and look down on this from the park area and look over the town.

Check out the ancient aqueduct used to transport water to the city from a spring over 14km away. The skyline in Montpellier is quite something with no skyscrapers and this is a great place to check that out. The surrounding park has a relaxing setting and a great spot for some pics.

Unfortunately you can not walk on the top, but you can see it very good from Corum, or walk along on the bottoms.

This is special. To believe that this has been carrying water to the town so many years ago. Very spectacular!

I marvelled at the planning and building of this place, it is set on a high spot from which to view the surrounding area.

Perfect timing to watch the sun go down. Can't walk across as its permanently closed. We felt quite safe at dusk. Good view of the city to get your bearings.

It dates back to the eighteenth century, although I thought it was much older. It can be seen easily from the Peyrou park where a set of stairs lead to its base.

Interesting example of a pretty old Roman water supply infrastructure. I believe it was built around first century.
