We were tired after walking the ramparts of the town and were looking for a relaxing activity. The boat ride sounded interesting and the lady who sold us the tickets told us about possibility of sighting birds and seeing cattle herding cowboy style and seeing pristine nature where white horses were roamed in the wild. It turned out to be... More

A complete waste of time. This was the most boring tour we have ever done. Like other travellers mentioned, no explanation in any other language than French, very rapidly spoken and hard to understand. The folder provided in other languages was poorly made up. When asking the ticket seller about an English commentary we were told to ask the guide... More

Don't be misled. The boats don't go anywhere you cant go by car, bike or foot! And many of the sites from the boats are over the roads or tracks you could be on. 2 1/2 hrs sounds grand but given much of the canals are limited to 4 knots only you could cover the same ground at a brisk... More

We wish we had seen the reviews of this trip before deciding to book. OK it's a French Boat in France so the main commentary will be in french but surely they can provide a brief taped summary in Bit of a disappointment with no available commentary in any other language but French. I appreciate we were in france and... More

We were really looking forward to this trip on the river but having paid our 15 euros each we sat through 2.5 hours of a very chatty and informative guide giving all the information in French. There was no form of translation for any other language speakers. Admittedly almost all were French but there were some Spanish and other Europeans.... More

This is a boat going down some ugly canals at a speed of 6 to 8 kmh (not kidding). Rowers and retired cyclists kept overtaking us. And since there is nothing to see, this quickly becomes a dull ride where you end up wishing the boat would hit a rock so you can get rescued. We should have done something... More

We paid 14 euros each for a 2.5 hour boat "cruise" that was boring. We headed very slowly out the canal towards the Mediterranean past distant salt water ponds and turned around covering the same route. The very rapid info speech was in French with no nod to the English, German & Italian passengers. Next we slowly travelled the Rhone-Sete... More

We made the big mistake of joining this "bateau" trip with my family and this for many reasons: First, all the explanations are in French...no English spoken or written... Just French! Secondly, the tour is just a turist trap...you can see things from very far away Thirdly, since we made the mistake of changing our seats after the visit to... More

Having been on an excellent Camargue cruise out of St Maries-De-La-Mer a couple of days earlier I was hoping for more of the same. Seeing the "recommended by Tripadvisor" sticker made me think I might have chosen wisely - but not so. The trip starts slowly down the canal that links Aigues-Mortes with Grau-Du-Roi, taking about 45 minutes to do... More

This boat excursion can safely be catalogued as a tourist trap. There are neither scenic landscapes to be seen nor wildlife to be spotted. You are simply floating on a canal amid plain meadows. There are no interesting anecdotes or observations to be heard. The guide (only in French) merely mentions some boring demographic statistics about the region. There are... More
