I gave them an important piece to auction, I was convinced in fairly low price out, they told me that in auction it would go up a lot, in the end they auctioned it in super low price out
And the worst part is that to this day I haven't seen a hard
An authentic stay careful

I bid on several auctions, paid and the items never arrived. I complained to Drouot who was the mediator but they have no customer service other than to say contact the room. If the room I have paid for and they do not send me the object, and I have purchased through you! I no longer paid for the last lot I won (just in case). Be very careful buying in France through these gentlemen

I have visited the Hotel Drouot on several occasions, and each time, I ask myself why I don't visit more often. Viewing the ever-changing exhibitions at the Hotel Drouot is always an enjoyable experience, and the focus of the various rooms changes often. I have visited at times when there were more antiques, furniture and household items, and at others when the emphasis was on jewelry, books, photography, paintings and other forms of art, such as sculpture. My last visit featured a room with various forms and periods of Chinese art. Fascinating.
If you spot a piece of interest to you and decide to participate in the auction, then great! If not, it is still an interesting place to visit to see what is currently on the market, to widen your exposure to a variety of antiques and art under one roof, to develop your own particular tastes, and to hone your evaluation skills.
Catalogs listing the artists, price estimate and basic information are available for purchase and/or consultation for each collection. Drouot staff can also be found in each room to answer your questions.
Allow a minimum of one to two hours to view the collections. More time may be needed for those with a particular interest in a specialized collection.
Note: for those who participate in the auctions, keep in mind that a tax of approximately 26% will be added to the purchase price.
A number of cafes and restaurants are located in the general area outside of the auction house for visitors who need to take a break.
Hotel Drouot is conveniently served by metro lines 8 and 9, at station Richelieu Drouot. There is also a parking garage located nearby.

Not everyone likes to go to antique auctions, but for those that do and cannot afford Chrisites or Sotheby's this is a nice stop. This is our third year attending auctions a Drouot. Today there were six auctions one wine, jewelry, a high end apartment. And for the third year in the row, we who cannot speak French or understand the spoken numbers, bid and won lots we were interested in.We will do it again.
The venu is quite large and so are the crowds. Higher value auctions have a displays shown gthe bidding in multiple currencies. But being there is fun, bidding challenging,
and the payment process quite easy. General you bid, pay and leave with the stuff
