A lovely way to end a lazy Sunday in Paris. The church certainly has a more American gothic feel than most in Paris but is intimate and has wonderful acoustics. Kudos to the organizers in providing weekly pay as you can, hour long concerts at 17:00. Everything from classical offerings to Gershwin. A very special treat.

Are you travelling to or thru Paris and looking for a friendly, non-denominational, English speaking Church to attend? Check out the ACiP, a user friendly, welcoming, non-denominational church. I've attended the ACiP for the past several Sunday's and it has been a blessing to me. There are three services each Sunday: 9, 11 and 1:30. The 1:30 service is the contemporary, non-traditional, more laid back service. How is it less traditional than the 9 and 11 services? The pastors may wear jeans or similar relaxing attire. Natalie and the music worship team start off the service, leading songs that you likely heard on KLOVE or a similar contemporary Christian music radio station. All three male pastors then have a role in the presentation of the announcements and the day's message. There is a Meet and Greet of sorts following each service in the Community room where hot coffee and tea are available. Attendees gather and chat, sipping their coffee and perhaps discussing what the Lord has done in their lives lately. The info table is staffed by friendly volunteers and the senior pastor's wife, and I found the info I received very helpful. I have a need to serve my community, and I learned of several volunteer opportunities that met my need. I now serve with Feeding the Homeless, and I am learning how to Serve the Refugee population thru Sport and other recreational activities. I truly feel blessed that I have become part of this Church family. Join us?

Beautiful church only a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. A tour of the church is possible, usually on Sunday mornings after service. Take the tour and learn the history of the church. Contact the church via the web to set up weddings or renew your wedding vows. Our photographer was Olivier De Rycke. Check his web site to schedule. You will love his work. The stained glass in the window is beautiful during a service. Church is across the street from the River Seine.

The idea of these concerts is good but the form is ultimately mediocre. We were at Meudon Hangar Y. Space too big for a quartet. The instruments had no sound so we couldn't hear anything... which is a shame for a concert. Then, the stage was barely raised, which means that the audience located at the back does not benefit from this subdued light... with LED!
In short, a somewhat low-end democratization of culture.

I attend the ACP fairly regularly. The Sunday service at 1:30 pm the past two weeks has been hard on the Caucasian Conservative White Adult Male. This past Sunday, the tall, white pastor couldn't help himself after reading a verse from the bible, imagining himself as the man referenced in the verse, a white man with undeserved power. Later, a second pastor, not Caucasian, wearing a baseball cap inside the church (where's the respect?) advertised a message that Black Lives Matter. Don't ALL Lives Matter? If you're looking for a "church" that is left-leaning and apologetic for what seemed to be any white maleness in the building, this is the place to go.

We wanted to attend church while in Paris and The American Church in Paris was in our neighborhood so we figured we'd go - it was really such a wonderful service. The singing was wonderful, God's Word was preached and it was clear that this is a tight-knit family of believers who care for each other. I thought it was sad that we had to have our bags checked before entering church, but in this day and age with terrorism, it's an unfortunately reality. I would definitely recommend others to go while in Paris.

We took part in the 11am Sunday service with our friend whom we visited while in Paris; she worships here regularly. The building is impressive and the Tiffany stained glass windows are beautiful. The standard of the music, preaching and conduct of worship is exemplary. Despite the name of the church, it's not just for Americans; the congregation is very multinational, and of course there are many foreign visitors like us.
We returned to the church at 5pm the same day for a free concert - a superb piano recital; the church offers these free concerts regularly. There are also tours of the church offered after the 11am service, but we couldn't take advantage of this on the day we visited because there was a meeting of all church members immediately after worship that day.
We would highly recommend worshipping at this church if you are visiting Paris over a weekend.

January 1st 2020 ushered in a new year, a new decade, and a new atmosphere of purposeful unity at the ACP's 1:30 pm Sunday service. The former divisive messages of the past year (my personal experience) have all but vanished. Current messages routinely incorporate unity, service opportunities and grace. Gone are the hurtful messages focusing on divisiveness that I heard, experienced and felt emanating from the pulpit along political, national, gender, socio-economic and residency status lines. Messages weaving in thoughts ideas of entitlement, guilt, misplaced responsibility and disrespect for world leaders has all but disappeared since my last review/update. Today, I (a mid-life, caucasion, conservative American Christian male) don't feel like I have a target on my back. Today, I feel like I am a welcomed, valued member of a church body, a church family. Stop in at the ACP on a Sunday afetrnoon and receive a little reminder of why you are here. Discover purpose.

So grateful to have a place to worship on Easter. We walked down and participated in the sunrise service. Afterwards we joined the others for a breakfast at the church. Met some wonderful people who were very nice to us. Americans who are spending a couple of years in Paris.

Our family of 10 went to a traditional protestant service on one Sunday morning. The church is absolutely beautiful and the sermon was grounded on solid protestant theology. Everyone was quite friendly, the music was traditional, and there was a fellowship coffee hour after the service. The church is in the Consulate area of Paris and we had a wonderful time walking around the area afterward.
