Funny thing: if you approach this shop from the west, you might fail to realize it's 2 shops, end up in the smaller one, and be unimpressed for a store that David Liebovitz says "has everything." Surprise -- the rest is in the OTHER half...More

Whenever I’m in Paris I stop by J Detou. Self restraint is vital or you’ll end up having to buy an additional suitcase for the return flight home! Dried mushrooms, salt, pepper corns, chocolate nibs, Breton caramels, honey, Iranian pistachios, lentils du puy, etc, etc....More

We stopped in to buy dried cepes and were pleased that we could buy them in quantity at a good price. I wish I had had more time to browse.

The secret is out. Gourmet chocolate sold here have better prices, presently. The store is small, and fully packed! Employees speak excellent English too. Recommended by David Lebovitz.

G. Detou provides some of the best gourmet foods available in Europe - it is an excellent place to pick up food-related souvenirs for yourself or foodie friends! It had all the range of gourmet products that I wanted to bring back home! Perfect place.

Great shop for Parisians and great shop for all of us It’s tiny, but packed with goodies from all over France – chocolates, cakes, spices, cooking items (chocolate sticks for making pain au chocolate; pearl sugar; etc), jelly candies, mustards, condiments, anchovies, etc. (The name...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
