We approached this island from Pont Mirabeau, which is a ways away, but gives a nice view of the statue of liberty from the front, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Pont Grenelle is closest to the statue, but gives you a view of...More
Grab a bottle of wine, some cheese and a baguette on a warm sunny day and go to this quiet serene spot in the middle of the River Seine in Paris. What a delight. Away from the madding crowd and the crazy drivers. This place...More

Whilst similar to the Statue of Liberty in New York and worthy of a lovely photo opportunity I would not make a special trip to see it.It was a nice surprise to se from my hotel a quite a nice walk around the area.
Unfortunately, this park is not well maintained , unlike EVERY other park in the city. Grass and weeds need care before summer. Amd the pavement steps are in dire need of repair or replacement. Sad to say so.
