Not sure why people have complained about the security to get in; every building now has to have a security check and anything to do with Judaism sadly has to have even more security. The museum is one of the largest European collections of Jewish...More

Primarily the history of Jewish life in France, the museum starts off strongly with an exhibit explaining the earliest Jews in Paris but then loses its cohesiveness. The galleries are disjointed, the audioguide (included in the admission) doesn't address the majority of the collection and...More

Lots of French Jewish history and artifacts here, set in a 17th Century mansion that over the years was converted to a bunch of small apartments, sort of a tenement. And then the residents were deported in WWII. The museum documents those residents. Moving.

Wonderful museum which chronologically shows with excellent artifacts and commentary the history of the Jewish people in France. Extremely easy to navigate and view. Would not miss it. Great free audiotour and part of the museum pass system.

Not sure why I'm seeing so many complaints about security, it's not more than you would get at the Louvre. The museum itself has artifacts and materials that span a massive time frame of history. I managed to get a discounted price on my ticket...More

Jewish museums are always a challenge because they have to tell both the story of a people in a city and because they have to tell the history of the world's oldest religion. This museum does a beautiful job of covering both those areas, and...More
