This charming and scenic square in the bohemian Montmartre district looks straight off a Hollywood set, but it offers a glimpse of authentic Parisian life. Just steps away are hip eateries, cafes and boutiques—and the Abbesses Métro stop stands right here, making the Place easily reachable for visitors.

Close to Sacre Coeur, this square has very picturesque surroundings and gives an impression of Parisian life. Some very trendy cafes in this area.

We visited 4 thrift stores in the neighborhood yesterday in search of a wool coat and found Chinemachine at 100 Rue des Martyrs (open noon-8pm) to be the best organized and most pleasant experience of the four. The other 3 were either filled with piles...More

I had no problem with any stairs that one person complained about. It's a nice launching off place to walk up towards Sacre Coeur. Like much of paris, I wish there was more and better signage pointing you in the right direction. The area of...More

While visiting Sacre Coeur cathedral, we took off at this metro station, once you get off from the metro then there's lots of stairs to climb up inside this metro station. But the neighborhood around this place is very beautiful and quaint. We went to...More

Lots of stairs at this stop but with it being one of the last metro stations with a stain glass overhang, it’s well worth the trip. Just off this station is the wall of love located in the garden!!

This Metro station in Paris is the one buried deep in the ground--or rather, there is the hill of Montemartre above it. Therefore, the stairs present a huge challenge even to those who are fit. An elevator or two offer the alternative, but it is...More
