We felt very safe here and didn’t worry much about pick pockets except for the Galeries Lafayette. This area is quite charming in which you can stroll around while viewing beautiful architecture, museums and shops. Had I known this area had so much appeal, I...More

The Opera House is a must see! It is also within walking distance of many shops icluding two very large and famous department stores.

The Opera district is a wonderful place to stay and visit while in Paris. There are quite a few attractions to visit - buildings, museums, galleries, churches and markets, and obviously - do some high-end shopping. Highly recommended.

Lots of shops, restaurants and things to see around this area. Only had a quick peak inside the opera but the building is spectacular. Highly recommend to book a hotel near this area

Our hotel was here near the Opera, a lot of restaurants, Japanese corner with dozens of sushi places, but also French places. A lot of shopping possibilities. Quite quiet if there can be and safe

Packed area of the city. Palais Garnier is really beautiful. Lot of traffic usually. Many stores and restaurants to choose as well

This area would be in the 9th arrondisement. As if the extravagant and exquisite archetecture of the Opera House or Palais Garnier was not enough, the confluence of streets into this square make it a totally congested and crowded area. From the Opera Hoise, one...More

I’d skirted around the edges of the Opera district until today when I was in the heart of it navigating my way from Galeries Lafayette to the south side of the Opera building and was glad I did. This area is rich in history and...More

Captain here, the opera house is listed as Palais Garnier on google maps, so if like me you're trying to locate it, that's it! Amazing gold and painted ceilings, large array of marble, we'll worth the entry. The surrounding area "opera district" is excellent, lots...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
