I had the first balcony on the first floor place 222, I had a beautiful view of the scene, really very good, with just a rank of people in front of me. But you have an iron bar on the first balcony, so the first...More

A marvelous setting for an exceptional musician. It was and will be a night to remember the rest of my life. The sound is perfect and the crowd... great Parisiene who love great French timeless music. Thank you France for giving the rest MICHEL LEGRAND!

We saw the Paris Orchestra here with guest soloist Maxim Vengerov. Great venue, rather intimate. Nice being at a concert broadcast live on Radio Classique which is our regular classical station. Easy purchase, easy to get to, and nice small auditorium. Good experience all-around.

Next to the concert hall was a music store where Igor Stravinsky lived and worked. There is another story about this concert hall, which includes Pablo Picasso and the birth of his daughter Paloma.

The Salle Pleyel was built in the 1920's and was more famous for bad acoustics than for it's roster of famous musicians. However all this was changed a few years ago when the hall was almost completely redesigned and the world renowned Artec Company were...More
