A fun tour of the old huge movie theater, behind the screen. See how it all works and learn a little about the movies French-style. Also a very good place to see a film. An historic theater.

The movie theater is supposed to be the largest in Europe. I would not be surprised; the main salon is huge! The décor is beautiful, and I think it looks a lot like the Fox Theater in Atlanta. The sound system is excellent, and the...More

Excellent tour. I went on a quiet Sunday morning in the beginning of June. It's all automated and you are led through a series of areas as if you are in a studio and they are filming a film and you are part of the...More

Le Grand Rex is located on the corner of Bonne Nouvelle Boulevard and Poissoniere Boulevard. The main hall is huge (2800 places) and very well decorated - including the both sides of the screen and the ceiling. It was built in 1931-1932. During the German...More

By accident, I paid for tickets to the French version of the movie, and we only speak English. The staff were very kind and helpful! Plus, well, it's just a fabulous theatre!!

We really wanted to see the actual theater - but that's not what tour is. The tour is cute, behind the scenes - but NOT the theater part.

Beware!! If the staff offer to show you to your very easily findable seats they then proceed to beg you for a tip for doing so. Awful, cringey, desperate. Really put a dark mark on our experience.

So I went to see a concert tonight. It was supposed to be a memorable experience in a beautiful venue. In a way it was, in a way it wasn't. I paid 80 euro for a ticket to sit on a freaking strapontin. I knew...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle

modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and

If you look at somewhere like Ticketmaster for their one off concerts and short runs they normally come with a plan that gives rows and numbers so you can get better idea of where you would be sitting.
