We tried La Nouvelle Eve based on the reviews here. What a mistake! Even though we had reservations, we were seated above the main seating area. We assumed there must have more people coming, but that was not the case. Aside from a tour group of about 20, we were the only other table.

When we were seated, we were asked if we wanted Coke or orange juice, which was the first sign that this was a pathetic tourist trap. We were given wine freely, which is the one thing the place has to boast about. The steak was poorly prepared well-done, not the requested medium-well, accompanied by bland discs of french fried potatoes. Nothing special, considering the price. Plus the main reason we had dinner here was to have the best choice of seats. Clearly not true. If you insist on coming here, skip dinner.

The next bad sign was that I noticed the figure "Paris Je t'aime" poster, which looked like a sassy, vibrant design, had a plasticine, barbie doll face. It says all that you need to know that they couldn't be bothered to incorporate the slightest human resemblance in the poster.

As for the entertainment, you get vaudeville comedy, which was fairly entertaining, and a desperate attempt to maintain the mythology of Pigalle. The dances are presented with canned music. For the price you pay, they should have a band, or at least they should make the music somewhat interesting. Of course the dancers are talented, but the entire setting is stale. I felt sorry for everyone involved. Depressing!

Save your money, look on the FNAC website for the concerts that are playing while you are in Paris. The theatres we visited via those tickets were all much more interesting, and we were treated to the true vibrancy of Paris, among actual live Parisians.

Food was not good - beef was dry. Show was average - singers lip-sync. Juggler and acrobat shows we’re entertaining. Very average experience. From Singapore.

If you want an intimate, yet high quality, cabaret experience in Paris this is the place to go. I was completely blown away. The food, the staff, the show all were amazing. Would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the show which was very entertaining. The atmosphere was nice, the food was good and there was plenty of nice wine and beer throughout the evening. Very enjoyable.

I've seen the Moulin Rouge and there is no comparison. This is a smaller venue with better talent and it was really funny and entertaining! We laughed hystericaly in parts. There is also audience participation! The food was also quite good and they kept our drinks filled, even bringing a pitcher of beer.

We had a lovely time! If you are comparing this Vegas you should not. This is a Paris experience and they put on a lovely show. We did not have the dinner but it looked very tasty. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. But if you make reservations that's just to get you in the door, once you arrive, it's first come first serve so I would recommend getting there early to insure you get a really good seat. The only thing we did not like very much was the main singer. This is just personal preference, we did not care for her voice. Although the dancers were great and in fantastic shape. The acts in between were always entertaining I never felt board and would recommend to anyone that they should go and experience it.

We had seen the show at Moulin Rouge and had loved it soo much we wanted to see more so we came here.
It was wonderful! Very different from Moulin Rouge but just as great. This show is more funny and meant for a younger, more active crowd than Moulin Rouge. And this is a more classic cabaret. Definitely recommend both, they are both incredible and different.

The staff are wonderful. The dinner perfectly delicious. The venue is beautiful. And the artists talented. A very enjoyable night. I came with my three daughters 11,14 and 18. We were not prepared for nudity. The girls have several routines where they are topless. I had no idea. Probably because I was naive and didn’t do my research. I would not have gone if I had known because that is not our thing. But we stayed. Got a little culturally educated. And had an enjoyable evening. But be prepared. Now you know.

I've been to Paris a number of times over the years and I've never been tempted to go to one of these cabaret type shows as I had a feeling it would be terrible, however after giving in to curiosity (some duress) I found that I was not wrong. I should have guessed how the night would turn out after being made to queue up outside until the very last minute, grubby, worn carpets greeted us, we were then crammed into a tiny auditorium which was in a poor state of décor, so all did not bode well. They then tried to renege on the price we agreed which we booked through our hotel, so we had to stand our ground and argue, which was annoying to say the least.
As for the show...... words almost fail me. I went to Butlins in 1986 and I can say the shows they put on back then were more entertaining. The dancing was boring (even the topless bits), basic and cringingly embarrassing at times. Boring laborious songs, a juggling act, a comedy balancing act, an illusionist (stick, mask and sheets), audience participation (involving men making complete idiots of themselves) and a Grande Finale of singing/dancing to the same song they started with... bravo! (for ripping everyone off).

Went with wife to this show after a lot of thought between this and moulin rouge. We are glad we did, it's a nice little theatre and the show was excellent. We sat very close to the stage as I asked to change the seats since no one was sitting on that table. We took the show only ticket instead of dinner ones, you can always order drinks when you get there.
Everything about the show was enjoyable and it's a thing you have to do while in Paris.

The area itself (Pigalle) is more like soho in London , or red light district but without being very exposed. It's very vibrant at night.
