Canauxrama offers cruises on the canals of Paris, the Seine and the Marne....

Canauxrama offers cruises on the canals of Paris, the Seine and the Marne. Sail on the Saint-Martin Canal and discover the Paris of Parisians passing under the Bastill's vault, four double locks, two swing bridges and the centenary Lift Bridge of Crimea to go to the "Parc de la Villette". For one day cruise, discover the smallest navigable of France canal: The Ourcq, with a unique entertainment: a horse will draw the boat. Or go on the Seine river that inspoired impressionists to Chatou near "la Maison Fournaise" or on the Marne River and its famous Guinguettes!

If you are short of time in Paris DO NOT DO this (unless you have an interest in canals, locks and tunnels). This is not much of a cruise because you spend most of the time in a tunnel and or in canal locks. The best part of the experience is that it drops you off in Parc de Villette... More

We decided to slow the tempo of our recent trip to Paris by taking a relaxing morning cruise on the Canal St Martin. I would thoroughly recommended the cruise from Villette to Bastille. We took the metro to Jaures and then a very short walk across the busy road to the Quai de la Loire. It proved to be a... More

We stayed near Canal St. Martin and took a Canauxrama guided boat tour of the canal, from bassin de Villette to Port de l'Arsenal, lasting 2.5 hours. The tour guide was fluent in French and English, and provided a fascinating history of this early 19th century canal, built by Napolean to provide fresh water to Paris. The canal goes underground... We took an evening cruise that went through canal locks and onto the Seine River. It was a unique twist to take the locks, and it didn't take all that long to get through. There was live commentary in French and English from a cheerful host that had a good sense of humor. The boat offered a bar that sold... More

The cruise was beautiful especially so because of our guide Robin. He gave timely updates about the upcoming monuments, had a great sense of humour and a very good taste in music.

We enjoyed this trip on the St Martin canal. Point to note: the trip is one way. We travelled from Parc de Villette in the north of the city to the marina near Place de la Bastille. You can also go in the opposite direction. The trip is 2.5 hours long and goes through 4 double locks. In fact a... More

My Parisian friends recommended this "off the beaten track" boat trip up the Canal Saint-Martin. I bought my ticket online in advance, but still had to wait in line at the kiosk to pick up my ticket before I could board the boat (which is why I am ding-ing them). I rode up -from Bastille to Parc de la Villette.... More

A very enjoyable ride on the canal, a lovely way to see Paris, and interesting commentary about the sites' history. There are explanations in English on most trips, but not all. We travelled from Le Bassin de La Villette to La Bastille. There are important things to know to be well prepared (not like us!): we had not checked the... More

We booked tickets on line and paid, we never received an email confirmation after our payment was deducted from our credit card. We were denied access to the site and ticket office until 30' before departure at which point there was a huge line for tickets and massive queues everywhere. We bought tickets first and were last to board. Complete... More
