Great looking church that reminds me of Acroplis. In my view it does not look like a church but it is.. we have come to see churches built more with a different kind of design.. however this church do stands out as being a bit different in architectural design A definite must see when you are in Paris

While in Paris, we attended Sunday Mass. The church is warm and welcoming. Exiting the church offers striking and dramatic views, of the opera house, framed by the door. The stairs (off to the sides) to the entrance have been turned into a lush flower garden...ingenious!

Was on way to Opera Garnier and decided to take a detour and see this church. So glad we did. Very beautiful architecturally. Lovely place to just sit and contemplate.

Two visits for us, first to view the church and later to attend a concert. Church has little stained glass (possibly none - I didn't see any) but a lot of sculptures. It is HUGE inside and has an amazing acoustic - or so I thought. The piped music we heard first at Mass sounded wonderful. Returning in the evening... More

Very cool building, unfortunately didn't get to go inside but it's a stunning piece of architecture. I wouldn't go out of the way to see it but it's still quite insane how people back then could build something like this.

Huge imposing neoclassical church with good classical concert programme. We heard very good Puccini mass here by conservatoire from Grand Nancy. Not sure about the acoustics though as very big and hard for choir to project the sound clearly.

It's not a must see but it's really nice church. I would feel bad if I didn't see it. The sculptures and architecture are great. The whole scale of the thing (it's big, really big) makes a huge impact on the viewer. It's nearby other tourist sites so it's quite easy to fit it in your day plan. Strongly recommanded.

This is an incredible Roman monument on the outside, but the inside is a beautiful catholic church. Not so crowdy, just a few blocks from the Place of la Concorde. Its worth visiting !

What a great place for a concert of classical music. Such a beautiful place. Be warned, however, in winter there is no heat at night in the place. Dress warm!

So many luxury shops, including luxury food shops, Maille, Fauchon, Laduree, Maxim and much more. Also jewellery and watch establishments, fashion and cafes and restaurants. Lovely fashionable area.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
