Champs Elysees is a boulevard which leads to the Arc De Triomphe. It is a lovely road lined with top designer shops and some nice restaurants. We also saw some street plays and performances on our way. Nice for a leisurely walk in Paris.

It's so easy to find negative opinion of the Champs-Elysees. Well, it's not what it used to be; It's boring; It's touristy; It's over-commercialized, etc, etc.. Well, heck. It's not the most delightful thing to see in Paris, I guess, and I suppose I personally have a difficult time finding something in Paris I DON'T like. But a stroll down... More

We walked from the Arc de Triumph to the Louvre, it was long but very pleasant. Expensive shops along the way. You had to pay to use the toilets everywhere.

For first-time visitors to Paris, this is an interestingly busy street to visit. It's full of shops (many chains), car dealers, places to eat and on weekends, lots of teens and 20-somethings! The Champs-Elysees's "hub" is the Arc de Triumph, a definate must-visit. If you're in shape, consider a climb up inside to the top of the monument to experience... More

Very expensive street of various shops. Very nice to walk around and see all the high end retailers as well as expensive cars parked.

I wouldn't rave, i mean its just a street after all. At one end theres the Eye and at the other is the Arc. Both visible which is pretty cool. Shopping galore. Middle end to high end. Christmas stalls were erect so we got to do some shopping at the market stalls at the Eye end of Champs Elysees.

A busy commercial shopping street with lots of commercial mass brands, ( not luxury and exclusive at all as before ) full of tourist and foreigners ( not sure if they live in Paris or .... ?? ) asking for donation ( by signing a random piece of paper ) as well as homeless with kids begged for money !!... I expected it to be more glamorous or at least more scenic but it's just a street with trees on either side

Neighbourhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
