This place has EVERYTHING. It is a department store, gourmet market, restaurant all in one. I found it to be a bit overwhelming, probably because I decided to come on a Friday evening when everyone else in the city seemed to be there...It is a gourmet food market, so it is a little on the pricey side, but it has... Market with almost all French ingredients. It also has a restaurant but you can chose cheaper foods to try, I had 3 oysters/6 prawns/6 escargots and it was amazing. You could also have a lot of other options to eat and discover a variety of new flavors. It reminds me the chain "eataly" but better.

I don't know how many times we shopped there and how many times we ended up HIGHLY disappointed. After so many years, we finally came to the only reasonable conclusion: NEVER AGAIN.

Anything, anytime, anywhere, just wish it and it is yours for a few euros more. I love going here and usually blow my brains out on items we don't need and have to work at using, mais, c'est vacation!

I went to the Epicerie in search of some grappa for an Italian friend (apparently not easily available in Paris). I was overwhelmed when I walked it. It is a treasure trove for gourmands. The wine cave on the lower level is enormous and the sommeliers spent a long time helping people to pick the perfect wine.

I had thought that there is more choice. Yes, the cheese Buffet is wonderful but regarding fruit and vegetables, marmelades and typical souvenirs it was a bit disappointing. The KaDeWe in Berlin has more Choice.

I stopped here the in the morning before my flight back to the US in the afternoon. I picked up chocolates, candies, bread, baked goods, mustards and cheese to bring home. Everything was of the highest quality. Hardest part was fitting it all in the bag. A+
