I ran through this park during the Paris Marathon and was very impressed. It is a huge park with lots of greenery. It feels a very far away from the hustle and bustle of Paris and a lovely escape from the city.

The Bois de Vincennes covers a vast area to the West of Paris, sprawling across 995ha (almost 4 square miles). Although it has some specific attractions, such as the zoo, it's mainly best for just walking or cycling around, free from the traffic and pollution...More

One cannot believe but all this green is still in Paris. Certainly not central , but still well deserved with a subway station "Château De Vincennes". We can find lakes, birds, horses and a lot of peaceful places. Love

We walked around the pond and over the two islands, and that was a very nice walk. Do not miss the grotto on one of the islands. Nice buddhist temple there too

Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise
lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and
impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small
parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy
Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois
de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on
its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to
this calming neighbourhood where real Parisians make
