This is a simple glass or plexiglass panel standing at the side of one of the path-ways that wend through this charming oasis of quiet. It commemorates the youngest children to whom there are no other memorials. Older children were and are remembered on the walls outside their schools or in the entrance hall-ways. These littlest ones from the 5th... More

St Julien Le Pauvre with its East/West Legacy is an ideal oasis to reflect and meditate and just the perfect setting to enjoy piano concerts by talented international pianists from Chopin to Beethoven, Debussy....Weekly Programmes are posted all over Paris and particularly in the 5th arrondissement. A must on your next visit to Paris.

We attended a wonderful piano concert by Pianist Nitto in St Julien Le Pauvre church. Perfect setting for Chopin and Gershwin like I have never heard it played before. Well worth the 23 euros.

Not sure how often Miho performs at St. Julienne but follow the many advertisements posted all around the city. A unique experience we shall never forget. On a chilly night the church was heated and very comfortable. Miho was happy to sign autographs and pose for photos after the very moving performance. Rhapsody In Blue a real highlight.

We found the place to be a quiet place in which to reflect on all we have seen and done. Not overly ornate but simple and peaceful. They have small concerts there and we happened to see there was a piano concert that night. We returned and were well rewarded with some beautiful Chopin. Put it on your list.

Although Google said 'closed' when I looked up directions, we were able to have a quick look around as the service had just ended. A beautiful little church with a wooden screen painted with various saints, and some lovely stained glass. We noticed all the posters for concerts but unfortunately had prior arrangements. Next time I shall definitely leave and... More

This small unpretentious church contains a remarkable screen of painted Saints. It is very relaxing to just sit there and contemplate the vista when in the Left bank of Paris. It is within easy walking distance from its more famous "cousins": Notre Dame and St Severin.

Just on the opposite side of Notre Dame, in the Latin Quartierc(Square Viviani), this church is silent, small, charming with its oriental character. The iconostasis, so close to the nave, and the entire structure are waiting for you, embracing you when you enter. Yes, there are (excellent) music exhibitions, but I visit Saint Julien le Pauvre for what it really... More

This is one of the oldest churches in Paris, right across the Seine from Notre Dame. It is now a venue for chamber music and is a must-see place. The atmosphere is haunting. We heard Nocturnes by Chopin and arias on the two occasions we went.

My boyfriend and I were walking aroubd Paris when we saw a poster for a concert in this little church. The concert was a Piano Recital of Beethovan and Chopin...abd what luck! The concert was the very next day. We paid roughly €20 each for tickets but if you choose to sit at the sides for €18 you can move... More
