The architecture and the stained glass windows are breathtaking. It was a short line to get in but it moved really quickly. We also took a quick tour of the gift shop and I wasn’t able to leave without buying one of the souvenirs. If...More

We enjoyed our visit. The basilica is massive and everything in it seems excessive. Welcome to Paris. We chose to climb the steps to the top for a beautiful view of Paris. This climb (maybe 300 steps?) will leave you breathless unless you are used...More

Although it is a steep climb, the views are worth it. Plus stop by a bakery in Montmartre on the way up and you work off your delicious breakfast!

Really enjoyed our time here and would go again. Location is great and the historic value outstanding. Grounds around the church well worth walking around. View was to die for. However, be prepared to get some exercise as you walk up the stairs.

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

The metro tickets are valid for 2 hours from first activation, so your train ticket to Anvers will probably get you up the funicular, maybe down too.

It is free to get in. Six euros to go up the tower. If you wish to light a candle the suggested amount is three euros.
