The architecture and the stained glass windows are breathtaking. It was a short line to get in but it moved really quickly. We also took a quick tour of the gift shop and I wasn’t able to leave without buying one of the souvenirs. If...More
We enjoyed our visit. The basilica is massive and everything in it seems excessive. Welcome to Paris. We chose to climb the steps to the top for a beautiful view of Paris. This climb (maybe 300 steps?) will leave you breathless unless you are used...More
As many have already said, this is a beautiful church both inside and out. The views from the steps at the front of the church are lovely, even if you are not keen (as we weren't) to climb to the top viewing area. There is...More
This is definitely one of the famous and well-known landmarks in Paris. Its collocation high up a hill makes it quite easy to locate and its distinct architecture makes it very easy to recognize. I visited the place very early in the morning before the...More

Took the Metro and this is definitely the most stairs ever I need to walk for a Metro. Please use the lift even if you need to wait especially if you are travelling with kids or older folks. You need to walk up a winding...More
Really enjoyed our time here and would go again. Location is great and the historic value outstanding. Grounds around the church well worth walking around. View was to die for. However, be prepared to get some exercise as you walk up the stairs.
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy
features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
