PROS
* Truly amazing true-to-scale duplicate but smaller version of the world-famous Statue of Liberty
* Accessible to go onto the island from Pont Grenelle and stand next to its base
* Good photo opportunity

CONS
* It is not the real thing
* It is not in a tourist area and one has to want to go there in order to come across it

"I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... because i was always curious to see this replica, so when I got off at Juravel to transfer from RER-C returning from Versailles and to transfer to M10 to go to the Pantheon in the Latin quarter and I saw where I was, the decision was made- I would go to Pont Grenelle and find my way to the base of this duplicate smaller statue.

And that's exactly what I did. The descent is from the eastern walkway of the bridge, and there is a ramp. There are some exercise stations under the bridge and then one walks and stands in front of the statue at the tip of the island.

It was sad and disappointing to see the big prominent red paint graffiti that had been sprayed onto the base.

WAS IT WORTH THE COST/
Yes

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?...
If I was there at the place, I would go down there again

ADVICE
* It's a good interesting and different thing to do- not the expected activity in Paris
* No need to go out of your way specifically to visit this.

This isn't the big one, but we passed it on our boat ride and learned a bit of history on this statue. Interesting nonetheless.

I’m not sure if the reviews saying Paris ripped off NY are trolls or just by the ignorant. Anyway, sure if you have a limited time in Paris, probably not worth it but if you are strolling around the 16th and crossing the bridges on the Seine, it looks great.

Tacky! Why would Paris have this tacky little knock-off of the famous american statue. I thought the French people had more class than to copy others. This one is so fake, you can't even go inside it. It's nowhere near as big as the one in New York. Don't waste your time.

An unexpected pleasure to see her in Paris, sitting majestically on the Seine, with the Eiffel Tower situated behind her. The best way to see her is on the river, but you can still get a decent side-on view from the road too.

Was really excited to see this. This pont de Grenelle Statue of Liberty is infact a smaller one compared to the one in the states. I was also surprised to find out that this isn’t the only Statue of Liberty in Paris as there are many more replicas in Paris.

No it's not the USA, not as big as the original and not as iconic, one of many copies of the iconic New York version but still worth a visit, a short walk along the river seine from the Eifel Tower it is a great place for those important selfies,

A perfect but smaller replica you can surprise your facebook friends and make them wonder where you are and your probably going to be nearby at some point if your visiting Paris because there are many points along the walk that you will be drawn to such as the Eifel Tower or the Trocadero, so if the weather is pleasant enjoy the walk and the sights along the way.

We went at the end of February and it was still a nice walk.

While we were on the Seine boat cruise we made a turning point at the Statue of Liberty at Pont de Grenelle.

The statue is here because France gave the U.S. the Statue of Liberty in 1886; and the Americans gave Paris a smaller version of the same statue in 1889.

The Paris Liberty statue sits at the western end of the tiny Cygnes isle on the Seine. It can be reached via two bridges: the Grenelle (closer to the statue) or the Bir Hakeim (longer walk but the double decker bridge is a piece of art and has great Eiffel views). I'd suggest an itinerary approaching it at Grenelle's and then walking along the isle towards Bir Hakeim, you'll be rewarded with great views.
For best shore views head little bit before the Grenelle bridge from where you can capture terrific pics of both, Liberty statue and Eiffel's.
This statue is the best known of all replicas and was made almost at the same time as the NYC's one. It was a gift from the Americans commitee in Paris to mark the centenary of the French Revolution.
