Charming little place and it was greatly appreciated to be away from the crowds. The animals were mostly well-kept and seemed lively enough, and we manages to get good views of most. I say 'some' of the animals are well kept because I was surprised...More

This place is tired and overgrown by plants. It's in desperate need of refurbishment. Some of the animals seem to not get the care they need, and the whole place is quite sad. A total renewal, or shut it down!

This is a decent zoo in the heart of Paris. You will find many smaller animals here, since the big ones are now at the new Paris Zoo near the Bois de Vincennes. It's a bit too expensive for its size and the variety of...More

We were visiting the Jardin des Plantes and decided to also go into the zoo. What a delightful place. It is quiet and away from the crowds and sounds of Paris while being right in the middle of it. It is an older zoo but...More

These are animals and not toys. Maybe some of the animals are cute, but the cages are poorly maintained and these animals may not be happy.

A charming little zoo that we stumbled upon by accident. some of the enclosures are very old and do need some work doing to them. Overall a very peaceful visit. The red pandas were particularly engaging.

A very old zoo with some very antiquated enclosures but it does have some charm. First time I've ever seen binturongs and the red pandas were entertaining. It is a small place and unless one walks very slowly it's a two hour visit at the...More

Looking through the eyes of an adult, the ‘Menagerie du Jardin des Plantes’ is a below-average city zoo with few remarkeble animals in poorly maintained cages (and too many times just empty ones). Also not really cheap, when compared to other zoos in Europe. But,...More

The gardens are very large and I'm sure in the summer are very nice. However the zoo was very poor. It needs a major reconstruction. The big cats although very healthy looking and obviously well looked after are in cages which are not suitable for...More

You might recognize the tiger''s cage from the Madeline books of Bemelmann. It's a old and charming zoo that is perfect for a casual stroll with a child. The charm might even appeal to older children. In fact, the whole parc is very low key...More

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

Sorry, do not know. But there are several museums to visit, each with its own entry fee.

The gardens are free but you pay to get into the zoo. There is also an orchid house which you can pay to get into.
