What a great experience, started from Maison Gourmet, which is a separate building across the street that offers the most beautifully presented, mouth watering foods. It was really hard to choose when everything looks that delicious. Then separated from my husband and we each got to explore our own building. One dedicated solely for men and one for women. Brands... More

If you want to shop in Paris, you MUST visit the Lafayette’s Galleries. You can find everything in those galleries, gifts from 1031€ until 10,000€. Also, you can basically find any brand there. Besides that, those galleries have a wonderful architecture.

It is a great place to visit for all your shopping needs in Paris. It isn't the cheapest by any means but it has everything on offer. Split across three stores of womens, mens and food, it has something to offer everyone. If you are around Christmas time there are window displays. The dome in the centre is fantastic and... More

This will be an obvious attraction for those looking to do a little shopping while in Paris. However, even if you aren't it is still worth seeing for the spectacle!

If during sale time be prepared for the crowds. Otherwise browse through all the best that France has to offer. Lots of boutiques including Chanel and Hermes. Reminder for Tourist Tax Free which can be done on site. Good luck and enjoy!

Went on the first day of sales, really not a sales day as you can't find that bargains. Really overcrowded, specially Chinese tourists, so plan your visit.

Hi prado_carlos, We're sorry to hear that you didn't find what you were looking for. The first day of sales understandably receives a higher amount of traffic than other days, but we have to disagree that there aren't any bargains to be had! The first markdowns began with 20-70% off retail price and are more significant each week. For your... More

With seven floors of shopping, prepare to spend a few hours here. Most of the merchandise is over-priced, but you can save money if you happen to be there during a sale. Take the escalators to the roof for an excellent view of the city.

Galeries Lafayette is an spectacular shopping mall. The ceiling and atrium on the center is simply amazing. It takes your breath away because of the beautiful architecture and details. Even though you don't have money to spend in fancy and designer clothes, jewelry and beauty products you must go just to walk, do some window shopping and seat at the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
