A triggering composition of various 17 century artists, based on a themes comparison. Advise: order your Louvre tickets on line. Buy the Vermeer exhibition extra ticket via the machines in the same area as where to buy a Louvre ticket (area left behind the information desk). No additional charge (so, a free ticket). Tip2: immediately buy a ticket for an... More

Humongous lines outside the central pyramid to get past the security (note: if you go into the Carrousel shopping center entrance to the Louvre the lines are not as long (but not short!) and you have the comfort of being inside out of the rain.) to find that even museum members cannot get into the exhibition and extremely long lines... What can be said that has not been said many times already? You could spend one minute on each piece and be here for a week. If you like art or history, you must go. If you don't, then go home!

This is a truly fascinating place; hence also very popular. There was a very long line getting into the Louvre....I wasn't expecting such large crowds since we were traveling off season and the recent attack. Avoid the line by getting advanced tickets before you go - you must bring your printed ticket.

I don't know how you could spend less than a day inside. It was worth the queue and buying the audio guide.

You visit, you must visit the Louvre it really is a 'must see attraction'! Take a little time to appreciate the outside of the museum, the Louvre is a impressive piece of architecture and is absolutely enormous. You can purchase the audio tour, I declined as its best to immerse yourself in all the art, the paintings and the history,... More

The Louvre is a long, slow-moving walk which can take up most of the day. If you're short on time, see the most important works. I bought a queue-jumping ticket which sped us up through security, and meant we didn't have to queue up again in the ticket hall. YOU WILL HAVE TO QUEUE UP TWICE IF YOU DON'T PRE-BOOK!!!... More
