We found visiting with teenage boys was a waste of time and money. It really was to tick the Box visit and it would be amazing if you were into art ...but for kids that aren't at that stage in their life ..I wouldn't waste your money or time.

We bought our tickets through our concierge at the hotel so we didn't need to wait in any ticket lines. Even though The Louvre was on most of our family's 'must see' list, we were apprehensive about going because of my 7 year old and 10 year old boys who have never been into art. I'd recommend to anyone visiting... More

I know the title is sparse but that's exactly what the Louvre is. Everyone already knows you can't see it all so I recommend you don't try. Meaning, don't rush. Pick a few things you really want to see and just enjoy them. Otherwise it feels like a race that you cannot finish, let alone win. Time your exploring around... More

We visited on a very wet, miserable January afternoon. Despite the weather there were no queues to get in and security checks were quick and virtually non existent. Lots of fabulous paintings and sculptures to see but the layout can be difficult to follow, luckily the major pieces on show are well signposted and you can use these to find... More

The best museum in the world. Do not worry if you do not know good art, history ... here everybody finds something for themselves. Most people come to see the Mona Lisa but everything else is wonderful. We spent the whole day in the museum and we will be back!

Visited during a family weekend. Impressive! We even saw a pair of wolves! Not too crowded which was a plus.

As to be expected in Paris... The information desk was less than helpful and quite rude. The cloakroom was a nice touch and made our visit easier. Always bring passport for children to prove their age, as they get in free most places if you can prove they're under a certain age. Warning: If you buy your tickets through an... More
