I found my visit here at night, only being able to see the outside of course, way more enjoyable than when I went in the next day! I'm not the biggest fan of spending a whole day in a museum, so that's my only reason for giving this only 4 stars. It is just way too big to make a... More

The museum is open Wednesday and Friday evenings which are a great time to stroll through the amazing art with less of a crush of people. You can't see it all at once so go back often.

Not too busy above ground, but queues to gain access to main art attractions. Would need to spend a few hours to visit everything.

Alot to see so look at the map and let the people behind the info desk help you with what you want to see before you go in. Just old art. For modern art visit d'orsay.

This place has so much history! You must study it's history before coming to visit. It was built in stages in the last 800 years or so. Then there's the artwork, there are priceless pieces of art and the building that encapsulates them finishes the whole experience. A musty see in Paris. Wear your running shoes and have enough digital... More

New La Gioconda exhibit is much roomier and more accessible. Loved the Winged Victory of course. And the Borghese Gladiator.

Visited the Louvre and yes it's spectacular and huge but unless you were interested in the arts and museums it's not worth queuing for hours to see the Mona Lisa. Not my favourite place we visited but tourists love it.

Another site to buy tickets before going. There are 2 lines - one to get into via security and then the ticket booth. Both can be time consuming but in the end worth it! Mona Lisa can be seen at a distance, large crowd and behind glass.
