This is quite an amazing place not just in what it holds but the architecture and building itself is wonderful with incredible ceilings and grand rooms. No wonder there was a revolution in France if the ordinary people could see the wealthy living in palaces...More

My wife had a fall earlier in our trip and would not have been able to hike through the museum. We borrowed a wheelchair from the Assistance desk and were able to show her lots of the key treasures. The staff were very helpful with...More

It's a stunning museum with amazing works of art in it. It's a bit of a maze and the signage isn't the best though.

Thought it was overcrowded. Seeing the mona Lisa was amazing, but had to push way to front to get a pic. If you don't push through you will be elbowed and shoved to back. It was quite stressey by time you got to front. Most...More

If you love art you have to visit the Lourve. Make sure you go thru Napoleon’s apartment. It is very ornate. If you really enjoy art, plan on being there for the whole day. If you are like me and only care about seeing a...More

Disappointed with: You can get lost (the Louvre is massive). You can't cover everything in one day. It can get too crowded at times. Happy with: First-class museum, well-lit, multi-format exhibitions including video presentations, clean, well-kept, very detailed explanation of art pieces and exhibits, warm.

Most everyone gives this place excellent reviews, and I will be the next to do so. Its reputation precedes anyone's actual visit, and I'm glad to say that it lives up to that reputation as one of the finest if not *the* finest art museum...More

The Louvre is home to beautiful, priceless sculpture and paintings including The Mona Lisa. She is much smaller than I thought she was. There was a large crowd around her but you can make your way up to the front if you are skilled at...More

Amazing place and we decided to pick must sees as so much there to do. Teenagers and children go free. For us Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo were brilliant to see so close up.
