Billed as the largest organic market in France and one of the largest in Europe, this 150-stall market stands in Paris’ tony 6th arrondisement, or district. Its all-organic wares woo celebrities including actor Gérard Depardieu, filmmaker Sofia Coppola, and French supermodel Laetitia Casta. Even the Food Network’s Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) swears by this one.

The Raspail organic market is on Sundays. The first stand you encounter when you enter from Cherche de Midi is les Gallatins. Although he offers other items, what I and others waited in line for were his galette pomme de terre. They are made with...More

Everything you would expect from a classic French market installed in the middle of a boulevard in the heart of the 6th arrondisement.

It wasn't that large. It it was a nice slice of France. The food was so tempting and the flowers were beautiful so sad I couldn't buy any. They were soaps, scarfs and strawberries a real eclectic mix worth a stroll on a Sunday morning.

Without speaking very much French, and the shops speaking very little English, we managed and were able to get great things for a picnic. We got a great bottle of wine, half a roasted chicken with potatoes, and lovely Comte cheese slices, and a baguette....More

This is a boutique market if you compare to the rest. Cute, small and expensive, but worth to visit. I decided to have lunch there, got a lentil tart and some oysters. Will definitely go back when in Paris on a Sunday.
