The River Seine is one of the great river's of Europe and befitting such a majestic river are the quai's dotted throughout the path of the river through the city , these offer great views of the city's amazing architecture ,walking along the likes of Quai De Montebello in the Île De La Cité complex is superb ,you can get very close to the river itself ,some of the quai's are really historic ,beautiful pieces of architecture in their own right ,it's wonderful walking around the quai's of the city and well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Paris.

I recommend a very long stroll along the banks of the river. Or you can take one of many river cruises. The old motorway has been turned into parklands, so you have more places to explore. Pay special attention to the designs of the bridges. And you will se many important buildings.

One of the best ways to experience the city is to take a series of long walks along the Seine. In some places you can get right up next to the water, in others you are up with the traffic. Lots of monuments and famous places along the way. The river allows for a lot of open air and perspectives. And the bridges are lovely and varied.

The Seine is a great river. And a walk or a cruise along its banks will reveal many of its beauties. There are many sights to be enjoyed and you will be thrilled no matter how many times you visit.

This was my 8th visit to Paris and everytime I'm there I take a stroll along the Seine banks. It's too long to do it in one journey, but little by little I think I covered the entire lenght stretching through the center.
Many famous landmarks are spread along this quais on both sides, many terrific bridges, where (at most of them) you can descend down to the river level to avoid the street noise.

Everyone must stroll along the Seine on one's visit to Paris. You will be in the middle of everything and see manyof the famous monuments from the river perspective with open views and good sight lines. Lots of parks along the way, food and drink.

I never get tired of walking along the river as the vistas and activities change along the way. Many of Paris' most important buildings are here, lots of places to eat and drink, lots of public parks. Open vistas.

This area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, runs from Pont de Sully to just past the Eiffel Tour along both sides of the Seine. It consists of an upper and lower walkway, the upper can be considered the sidewalk, and the lower is at river level. Located along this promenade are some of the most recognizable sites in the world: Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre. The lower allows you to walk along the river with a lot less crowds.
