Les Jardins du Trocadero are located close to the Eiffel Tower, in the centre of París. In fact, it is a point, from where you can see probably the best views of this known tower. In this place, there are a big fountain, some statues and a green zone, where it is always full of people, because the views of the Eiffel Tower are wonderful. A place to come in the day and also at night. Really they are two different experiences. Also it is a fantastic place to come with children, because here they can play, run or do a picnic, while you (and also they) can see the Eiffel Tower. Excellent tourist point in París!

Les Jardin du Trocadero is an amazing viewpoint for Eiffel. It is great for pictures with a good height of Eiffel Tower in your background. Further, there are a lot of merchants in the area selling crepes, wine, pastries, etc. - it is a good picnic spot too!

extra note: Good view of the sparking Eiffel tower at night too!

However , I warn you that there are a LOT of people visiting trucadero gardens. So, If you want good daylight pictures for social media, suggest to be there before 9am.

A long ascent will take you to the stairs decorated with beautiful statues. Going up, you’ll get the perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. Lots of tourists stand here to take the perfect shot with it. There weren’t many tourists this time due to COVID

This technically refers to the lower level of the square with the fountains. For whatever reason, the top square is packed with tourists and this lower level is much less crowded and just a bit more peaceful. It also provides a much better vantage point to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Come here to take your pictures!

The gardens are really large and are located across the bridge from the Eiffel Tower. Because of this, it has a really nice vantage of the tower.
The best place for the view of the Eiffel Tower is at the esplanade close to the Museum. It is at the top end of the giant Trocadero Fountain in the middle of the gardens. The fountains weren't running when we were there though but it did look amazing.
We didn't have a lot of time so I wasn't able to fully explore the gardens. The bit that I did pass were really peaceful and tidy. We cut through the pond area to the esplanade to get a foggy view of the tower. It did look like there was a small fair going on with stalls but I didn't get close enough to inspect it.
It was a really large and beautiful garden with a really amazing view of the Eiffel Tower (if the weather is good). Being located close to the Eiffel Tower means that it isn't too difficult to get to.

We walked over along the Seine, beautiful cool sunny day. We had packed a couple of sandwiches and a lovely bottle of white wine. Found a great bench directly across the street from the Eiffel Tower. Enjoyed a very romantic lunch without hordes of people. Great photo spot as well.

When descending down from the Trocadero massive edifices housing several museums on the upper plateau, you pass this magnificent cascading gardens.
In the middle is a beautiful fountain with statues around. From every angle is a terrific view of the Eiffel tower, so it's a perfect photo stop.
The Jardins are popular with fashion shows, I saw few of them there during my previous visits.

Left over from a big international expo, this is a big space with massive fountains (be careful on a windy day you could get wet) and some elaborate landscaping. The Eiffel Tower looms over it. Magnificent town planning, makes for a long stroll, and can be hot in the sun.

Les Jardins du Trocadero are beautiful gardens in a wonderful part of the city. Just across over the Seine River is the Eiffel Tower and in the Gardens section is the Palais de Chaillot, another majestic building. There are many amazing water features and numerous sculptures and plenty of space to enjoy. Certainly a place to visit especially during warmer days, but every other day also. The view from the Eiffel Tower is fantastic.

PROS
* Fantastic manicured gardens
* Outstanding location opposite the Eiffel Tower

CONS
* Currently restricted access due to Olympic construction

“I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
… in order to experience it and to see the Eiffel Tower. As stated, there is construction so access is poor if it all.

WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
Free is a good price

WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN?
Sure, but not until I have the Olympics

ADVICE
* This is surely a wonderful and scenic place to visit…… after the Olympics.
