The museum reveals the secrets to the perfume trade, as well as a collection of precious objects tracing the history of perfume from antiquity to the present day. The Tour is so worth it! Really appreciated the help from our tour guide. It felt like a real paid for tour. But its totally free, and heck now I even know how to use perfume. I have been doing it wrong my whole life :) When I come back, I'm buying a lot more. I only got one to try it out, but now that I've had it a while, I am so bad I didn't buy more for friends and family. The prices are also very reasonable. Buying later online is sooo expensive (having it shipped to the USA). Just do it! :)

This is one of the best places to be visited in Paris. The tour around the museum and its explanation will definitely make you buy at least one or two bottles of perfume before you leave. Those handmade soaps are something that you will not get elsewhere easily.

This museum was fascinating. It is very informative, includes many displays and has a very soft sell at the end. In fact you can skip the soft-sell if you prefer. This is a gem hidden behind all of Paris' architectural giants. But at the end of our trip, it was highlighted as a "favorite" by family members.

After waiting in the queue for just one couple to be dealt with that took 15mins I had to check if I could just go up yo the museum. Advised yes so made my way up to find no tour guide. No one there to go to so was totally mystified as to what was going on. Waked around 2 rooms that really didn't inspire me and in 10mins it was done.
There is a shop as you leave that explained that sometimes the tours happen sometimes not!
Had a look at some perfumes had a spray like one and asked what was in it. Told no idea sorry.
Firstly a total lack if organisation on the tours and a lack staff and coordination. Probably the worst organisation I have seen of a museum. Secondly if you're selling perfume at a museum might be an idea you use staff that actually have a knowledge on perfume.
Don't bother going -there is far better places to go.

Musee du Parfum - Fragonard , is very close to Palais Garnier and was a part of or tour , I am not sure why they compulsorily take you to such places ? Business tie ups may be! We wanted to visit some other place but the tour guide took us to visit this place.
They put a colored sticker on you to identify you as a part of group and may be that's tagged to the guide . I saw many different colored stickers on different groups & different tour guide.
Having said this, our tour guide was good , she took lots of effort to explain us the basics of Perfumes , history of Fragonard Parfum & took us around the shop . At the end of the guided tour you can buy perfumes, if you wish to.
Go only if you like perfumes & wish to buy something.

Dear Sir,
We were very honored to welcome you at our Perfume Museum in Paris.
Perfume Making is a traditional know-how of France. And our Museum is an unique way in Paris to understand why France is THE country for Perfume. This might be the reason why your tour took you to us 😊!
We indeed use colored sticker to identify groups within the Museum while visiting it.
We hope you liked our Perfumes, all produced in Grasse, Capital city in the World for Perfume, where Fragonard factories are based since 1926.
Best regards,
Fragonard Team

The Musee du Parfum, was an interesting walk through the perfume making history in France. The tour guides are engaging. The visit ends with an opportunity to purchase perfume from Fragonard's collection but it's not a hard sell!

A really interesting small museum in a lovely part of Paris. The assistant who showed us around was very knowledgeable, neat and well-groomed and made the visit memorable. She was perfectly fluent and personable and answered all our questions fully. There were only 5 in our group, but they still took us round promptly and took time to ensure we enjoyed the museum and could ask as many questions as we wished. I liked the displays about how perfume is made and the ingredients used by Fragonard and felt that the shop was also very good - with many of the company's great products for sale. They also wrapped our purchases beautifully.

Visiting a perfume museum was not originally in our plan whilst visiting Paris but I’m so glad we did! The history of the museum was so interesting, our host was wonderful (she spoke so knowledgeable but was definitely not boring) and the perfume testing was amazing. We were not expecting this to be a free tour so that was an added bonus. Love the discount for bulk purchases too.

This was part of Paris Pass. The actual making of the perfume was simple, yet I learned a lot about perfume itself. the guide was wonderful and informative. I usually do not buy souvenirs after events like this, yet I did end up buying a set of Fragonard perfume at a great price ( I believe the set price is only offered at the museum) . I still enjoy the great quality French perfume I bought and wished I bought more. They are very different from Dior or Chanel has the quality is excellent.

My partner and I visited on our recent trip to Paris! We did not take the perfume making class, we just did the free self-guided visit of the museum. It is free to enter, and it's a really nice little museum which explains some of the history and science of perfume making in general, as well as the specific history of the company itself. There is a lovely exhibition of different perfume bottles and accessories, some of which are really surprising! Overall, it is a nice way to spend a bit of time and learn some fun facts about perfume.
The shop is on the way out after you have done the self-guided tour, and there is a wide range of perfumes, soaps, diffusers etc to buy. I bought a couple of perfumes! The products are high quality, but are also affordable!

Tem alguma loja fragonard na Suissa?

No, only in some cities in France, and one in Milan, Italy.

I’m interested in purchasing perfume that can only be purchased in France. Does the shop have any that fit in that category?
Written 12 April 2019
I also suggest Fragonard. They have some really interesting perfumes on their store and you find for sure something specific for your taste!

Hi, I visited the Fragonard perfume museum in August 2018. I was told that it is one of the oldest and best perfume museums. I was completely disappointed by the sales team and the manager of the shop was not cooperative. I have serious doubt about their claim of having 16 to 30% concentration of perfume in their products. The prices of perfumes are exorbitantly high and what they offer along with high-value purchases is empty aluminum bottles is actually useless. When I visited the museum, one group tour entered, I saw the cashier manager offering tour manager commission based on purchases made by the group. I have never seen such kind of things in Europe. Better to avoid a visit to Fragonard.......................................

Bonjour,
