This sprawling square has good views over the sea but lacks real focus. It's pleasant enough to walk through but hardly memorable.

This is a nice open space in the city but the main attraction here is the statue of Napoleon surrounded by four of his brothers. The statue was erected in 1865. Napoleon is seated on a horse. He is shown in triumph, crowned with a...More

The square is a central place of the city, just a block away from the beach, within the easy reach of all the important sites and filled with nice bars, restaurants and shops. It is a very pleasant place in the center of an interesting...More

Beach on one side (a block off), bars, shopping and food on the other three sides make sit a great central location in Ajaccio to meet and just relax. There was plenty of people around just strolling and people watching was great. Nice to place.

Important historical as de Gaulle addressed the people when the island liberated after WW2. Interesting statue of the Bonaparte family and the square looks pleasantly to the sea and town, fringed by cafes and bars

Not impressed with here are Ajaccio generally. Did find alot of antique stalls set up here when we were there. Interesting but didnt buy anything as very overpriced as was Ajaccio. The beach was very nice though

The Little Train leaves Place Foch and makes a short 15 minute stop at La Grotte de Napoléon, which is an impressive monument to Napoleon Bonapart just out of the town centre. The trip then winds it's way back to the coast... More
