Mostly unknown, secondary artists but there is one Bellini, one Botticelli, two Titians, and a few other famous ones on second floor. The basement has an interesting collection of Corsican art. Entrance fee for adults is 8 Euros and for seniors it is 5 Euros.

I totally agree that the lighting in this museum needs a major overhaul. There are many beautiful paintings it is almost impossible to appreciate. Only the Napoleon exhibit (excellent) and the 2nd floor were open so we were sad to have missed. the rest. Also closed was the Imperial Chappel. Very sad regarding that. Sureley it would not cost them... More

An extensive and beautifully curated collection of paintings with both eccentric (Temptation of the Chouette) and classic (Titian) examples. Allow two hours. Consider returning if you like painting.

The musée Fesch ( Palais Fesch-musée des beaux-arts) is the central museum of fine arts in Ajaccio on Corsica. Located within the gated Palais Fesch. The most impressive painting collections at the museum are arranged in several halls in the specific periods of the Early Italian and Renaissance, the Roman Baroque and the Neapolitan Baroque. The museum is not very... More

This is a real must to visit. Some exceptional paintings set in a most attractive gallery. Bit annoyed that a whole floor was closed due to staff shortages -- yet there seemed plenty of staff at the entrance including an appallingly impolite security guard. One guide, a middle-aged woman however was extraordinarily well informed and engaging.

I’m sure that there is lots of interesting art here but we did not persevere to find out. We mainly visited here to get entry to the adjacent Imperial Chappelle which was closed. We were advised that there was no written or audio guide in English. We gave it a go but soon gave up.

Beautiful building with a lot of precious art inside. Unfortunately it clearly does not get the care it deserves (lack of light (!), descriptions and further sloppy things). The museum could improve massively with a professional management.

The long gallery was closed and, with a modern installation also being hosted, much of the regular display was absent. That said, some of the highlights were on display.
