For the lazy people like me, I recommend the trip from Piana to Porto. You will have on the right side of the road a lot of identation to stop your car to make pictures, or simply enjoy the environment. In this case, the doogs head will be the end of the ride, the windows at the beginning. Very spectacular... More

We had the chance to see the Calanche cliffs both from land and fro the sea and it simply leaves you out of words. The huge red cliffs sculptured by millions of years of wind and rain running down into the crystal clear sea are breathtaking. We drove along the road and stopped every turn just to breath in this... The calanche de Piana are south of the village of Piana in the west of Corsica and are one of the most impressive scenic highlights on the island. Extending over several kilometres, the calanche are a series of red rocks and cliffs that plunge up to 300 metres into the Mediterranean below. It is possible to simply explore the calanche... More

Unesco protected site, it was very near our hotel. We decided to hike to the Le Chemin. Word of caution - loose stones on the trail!! Even though the trail was fairly easy, you had to watch every step, as the loose rocks moved under your feet, really dangerous when descending the mountain. but the view was worth every effort... Awesome. Take a break in Piana, its a town with a lot of character. The drive thru to the Calanche Cliffs all the way to Porto. The drive is just great. Once in Porto take a boat and see the cliffs from the sea. This is a truly outstanding experience.

We went on a boat trip from the port of Porto. There were many possibilities to,see, the cliffs from the sea, but we chose a modern boat carrying about 50 people. 38 euros each for a 3 hour trip. It was very rough as we went out to sea, and several passengers were feeling seasick. The crew were very good, attending... More

Your eyes can not see all the beauty of the scenery. The landscape is changing and becames more and more attractive by the second. I think that you have to go there twice a day, at morning and at the sunset and you will see them more and more amazing I think that if you ask the captains that are... More

Had no idea that these cliffs existed as I didn't read the guide books before I left. I would have kicked myself very hard if I had missed them. They are simply stunning. In fact the road from Calvi to Porto is one gigantic reminder of just how jaw droppingly stunning nature can be. I don't think that I have... More
