Very unfortunately I only had time and opportunity to look at the outside as my trip to Reims was coming to an attend. But the site is very majestic and certainly worth visiting.

Just an idea, if your accomodation is located in central Reims: Take an evening walk to the Basilique Saint-Remi - the streets are quiet and pleasant, the huge church is a fine photo opportunity (only from the outside) - and then back again through other quiet and pleasant streets … 1 hour tops.

The Basilica of Saint-Remi is a beautiful medieval church that was consecrated by Pope Leo IX in 1049. It has been seriously damaged during World War I and during the next 40 years meticulously restored. Definitely worth a visit, not crowded at all.

Great example of romanesque style in architecture. Located just a few minutes walk from the cathedral.

A great place to visit and see the sights of Reims. The historical interest was great and it was great to see it still working as a church with ongoing services

A beautiful church with a gorgeous medieval-looking central chandelier, wedding preparations were underway during our visit. A gospel group was practicing and seats were being decorated. The church has a serenity (notwithstanding wedding music) and peaceful beauty that is worth the visit. We also went next door to the museum - again, interesting, quiet, tranquil.

A must to see. To think we almost didn't go to this because it was at end of the day and we were tired. It was quiet at 17:00 and we had the church to ourselves. Amazing architecture and history.

Not to be missed while in Reims, especially if you're headed to that end of the city for champagne tasing.

Don't miss seeing this when you are in the city. It is not as grand looking as the Notre-Dame but the history here is just as amazing and important.

As a note though when we went we thought it was closed and walked all around the back and then around again and realized the entrance was on the side and you had to try the door.....to be honest, it looked closed and no one was around.
