So somewhat confusing so just in case I will post both reviews. One of the nicest architecturally that I have seen from the outside - actually quite stunning with it's two circular towers on the western edge. Inside - Nice stained glass with clear glass providing natural light from higher windows. 1831.

It's all there: heretics, killings, believers, not believers, almost nine hundred years of history behind this – to see it today, in its final Gothic version, it's imposing and somewhat threatening, but with wonderful stained glass windows. Please be respectful of the worshipers.

From de Gaulle direction it is such a lovely site looking up towards the direction of this great Cathedral. Almost impossible to Visigoth Orleans and miss it. Worth a visit.

An impressive cathedral in beige limestone that dominates the historic center of Orleans. From the cathedral you can choose any of the narrow cobblestone streets to discover the beautifully restored medieval city center with lots of small squares with terraces to enjoy good food or drinks.

We had a private tour of the cathedral and our guide was as impressed as we were! The atmosphere is beautiful, the stained glass is simply stunning and the whole place is just amazing. We loved it.

This beautiful Gothic cathedral was rebuilt between 1601-1829 and is the place where Joan of Arc is commemorated every May 8th for having prayed there in 1429. A monument was erected at the time of her beautification in 1909 and of her canonization in 1920 at her chapel near the North transept. The East chapel was realized in 1623 and the... More

Walking along the Rue Jeanne O `Arc one is confronted by the magnificent west façade. Sainte-Croix Cathedral very much resemble Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Begun in the 13thC the original building was badly damaged by Huguenots in the 16thC. Restored in Gothic style between 17thC and 19thC. Very ornate façade and on entering the cathedral one is in awe... More
