This is simply not to be missed. Mr Hess sells such a wonderful collection of cheeses, local and from further afield. They will tell you when your cheese will be ripe so that if you are travelling they will select an example that will be...More

I wish I could buy them all. Fantastic variety with cow, sheep or goat milk. Bourgogne specialties including Epoisses, mustard grains cheese, etc. Many other terroir products (mustard, honey, pain d'épices...) and a wine cellar.

This is one of the best cheese shops in France. It supplies most of the best hotels and restaurants in the region - which is how we discovered it three Yeats ago. We now visit it whenever we are passing through Beaune. It sells cheeses...More

Great little shop right on the center square in Beaune. Upstairs is a chees shop with massive selection of cheese from all parts of France. Downstairs, however, is a great WINE shop, and the proprietor is very, very knowledgeable about wines from the region. He...More

Even if you don't buy anything it's worth going into this shop in the centre of Beaune to see the variety of French cheeses available. Our strategy is always to "eat local" so Epoisses is a must-buy as is anything to do with Citeaux. Friendly...More

Much more than just a cheese shop. Offering cheese and wine and more. Great place to purchase mini jars of mustards and jams/jellies for souvenirs at reasonable prices.

Don't miss this local Beaune shop with an excellent selection of French cheeses and sausages! We also recommend the €10/pp cheese tasting and wines in the cave below the store, great for a hot day!

This shop is amazing! Huge selection of cheeses and other products and you MUST go downstairs to the wine cellar. I am a bit surprised about the bad reviews regarding quality of service. Service was excellent. We also bought some tea!

We entered and offered our best greeting in proper French, but somehow this was not really appreciated by staff. From the get-go, one didn't feel the love nor sense much respect. It seemed as though non-French customers were not fully welcome here, even those raised...More
