Pierre was our host for an afternoon of wine history, tasting and fun. He is a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The experience deserves it's number two ranking of things to do in Beaune.

In a time when people complain about prices rising, this two hour session by the beautiful Nicole take you on a journey through the Burgundy region. She explains styles, flavours and there is a tasting of 5 white and 5 red. It's good that you judge a wine without knowing the cost. Her English is great and we rally laughed... More

Having booked in advance, we arrived at the wine cellar to be greeted by Pierre, a 5th generation local wine family. It turned out that it was just the three of us, and over the course of the next several hours Pierre shared his extraordinary insights into the Burgundy region with us and a detailed lesson in how to best... Fantastic tasting and information session with Pierre for our party of 2. A must do as an introduction to the wines and regions of Burgundy! I cannot recommend this highly enough for a passionate, entertaining and informative introduction! Thank you Pierre!

The pleasure was shared. It was a fantastic partnership between you and me. You were good at tasting and I was not too bad at sharing my passion. So it has worked and I really hope to make you discover other secrets... Enjoy your bottles at home. You will check it adds something unique. See you soon. More

With the Marche aux Vins being closed, I was looking for somewhere else to give my son an introduction to the breadth of burgundy's wine heritage and stumbled on La Cave via TA. It was a substantial success - both my wife and 18 year old daughter, who are hesitant about formal wine tastings were seduced by the charm, enthusiasm... More

For the last 10 years we have been traveling in various wine regions in France, Italy and Spain looking for inspirations and there has been a number of nice hosts who changed our view to wine and wine tasting. Pierre is the best coach and yet the only one guided us, in an 1.5 hour blind tasting and story telling,... More

We did this at the end of our trip however I actually wish we had done it at the beginning as the tasting was a very good introduction to the different regions of Burgundy and the different styles of wine that are produced. We tried 8 white wines, 9 red wines, a cremant and a creme de cassis, and ended... More

I went for a tasting to this cellar because of the excellent reviews. the staff and Pierre is very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. But this wine tasting is probably targeted for the not experienced wine drinker. I did discover the white wines in more detail but they do have some limited wine selections, and they don't say much about the... More

Primer on wine tasting with some controversial ideas about how to taste. Did have a few nice ideas on assessing the nose of a wine. Wines tasted were typical of the style of the area.
