A unique building and a must see if you are in the area. The building itself is amazing and the interior full of interest. For a medieval hospital to survive at all is astonishing, but for it to survive in such wonderful condition is unbelievable. The story of the hospital was told to my group by our lady guide in such an... More

Such a unique and cool hospital and Museum a must see if you are in the area. The main hall with the beds is really amazing and the history behind it as well. Traveling tip pay attention to closures as it is closed midday for a spell. They have audio guides for adults and children which is so lovely.

The Hospices de Beaune was created many years ago to provide medical care for poor children. Today while it is a museum it stands as a remarkable testament and vision to serve the underserved. It is a very moving experience.

Hotel Dieu as worth seeing if in town. The history is interesting and after touring the museum it was neat to come back at night to see the light show on the musee wall.

This is a fascination look at medicine centuries ago. This hospital, or "God;s Hotel", was provided for a select few local people for recovery from serious illness. Interesting look at the level of care, and medical instruments available of the times. Also a fascinating look at a centuries-old hospital kitchen. The building itself is a gem, with beautiful colored roof... More

The reviews said it, but I was doubtful. However, This place is fascinating!! The audio tour makes all the difference. The stories they tell keep you so interested in the workings of an early charity hospital. They have so many interesting displays and you feel like you are there back in time. One of those great attractions you've never heard... More

The tile work is pretty stellar on the roof of the hospital, and for that reason this place is an easy recommendation. The audioguide is cheesy, but contains some interesting tidbits, particularly on the second half of the tour.

Went here for a short visit. The place is lovely and with audioguides in many languages a lot of information is available. It really gives a lot of background on the village and history, highly recommended.

A fabulous museum, with a fascinating story. Architecturally interesting, but most significantly a lesson in humanity, and generosity that shouldn't be missed. If you are in Beaune make sure you visit.
