Quimper offers a quaint and picturesque sight with its sinuous streets and old buildings; its little cafés and crêperies are a must; do not forget the covered market "les Halles"on Sat.

Our third visit over the years. Having researched more, we found ever more treasures. Obviously the cathedral's stained glass windows are major, but so many other contemporary buildings demand attention. The medieval streets are well kept, litter and graffiti free, superb in the autumn sunshine.

We always enjoy this most pleasant city and the stroll round here ,dipping in and out of the shops and cafes never disappoints .Always a highlight of our trips to France, where we are in striking distance

Quimper can get very busy, but early in the day it is a wonderful place to explore and photograph. Lots of half timbered buildings occupied by interesting shops. My main disappointment was that the owner of a second hand bookshop had decided to take a...More

Several half timbered homes are scattered around the old town. Ground level pretty much a full on retail area, shops are nice many local merchants mixed with the country wide chain stores.
