This Cathedral has some wonderful works of art and was an important part of the pilgrimage from France to Santiago de Compestella - it's a bit of a climb but well worth it - and you can also find it by following the scallop shells in the footpath.

This is an absolute must if you are a pilgrim on the Via Podiensis. The Cathedrale is quite spectacular in that it has more steps outside the building than in - and the morning pilgrims blessing mass is a must do - no matter what language you speak. Make sure you stay on after the Mass as the blessing is... More

Fantastic wooden pulpit and organ with some some striking modena religious pieces. Great free attraction.

Visible from all around, we climbed the (seemingly never-ending) stairs up to the Cathedral (I'm not sure if there is another access way that is suitable for those with mobility issues) and it was worth it. A rather unpretentious Cathedral but spectacularly beautiful and peaceful. You could spend a couple of hours here or even squeeze it in in 20... More

This whole town centre is very nice. As you wander through very old streets with cobble stones (wear flat shoes!!) you climb the steep road to the cathedral. Connected to many other ancient buildings, the church has almost melted in. You see its true size only from a distance, or once you have entered the building. Beautiful atmosphere. But most... More

This must be one of the most uncommon cathedral in France. The architectural feat of fitting such a nice and big building on top of this hill is amazing. Really worth the visit.

Walking through the town to this cathedral is beautiful. Following in pilgrims footsteps, nice shops and restaurants.

Gorgeous church! They take the chemin de st jacques very seriously here, with a benediction mass every morning for pilgrims setting off on the trail. Overall a warm atmosphere. The black Madonnas are amazing to behold, and the church's main steps open up into the floor, which was a very unique feature. I really loved this cathedral, one of my... More

The position, on top of the hill , and the approach by stone steps is impressive. The architecture of the church and devotional atmosphere are an experience
