This is the second time we have visited the aquarium in 2 months. It has a really good variety of sea life and is very child-friendly. Our two year old son loved both visits. We will definitely visit again soon

We struggled to find much useful info before we left so please see my photos with map, parking etc. Bellevue is possibly the nearest (underground) parking. We were in Clemenceu (underground) but had a nice walk through the town to get to the Aquarium. Cost about €7.50 for 3 hrs.
Entry €16.50 for adults and €12 for children - poor facilities on entry - one dirty loo for three desperate children!
If you have a pushchair there are no storage facilities, you have to push it round which is a pain and carry it up to all five levels or squeeze in small lift).
Some English giving fish names but on interesting displays - old photos giving history- there was no English which was very disappointing. I used Google translate on some.
No info given on seal feeding times (apparently 10.30 & 5) after that they sleep all day :( There is shark feeding apparently, again no info so ask on arrival.
Cafe and huge shop!!
Not the best place but gives entertainment on a dull day and Biarritz is a beautiful town with plenty of food & icecream opportunities :)
After the aquarium there's a lovely walk to the end of the promenade, interesting rocks & photos.

This appears to be small from the outside but once inside you realise it is built into the hill.
They stopped the seal feeding during covid but you can still enjoy watching them through the large window.
Best bit is the large tank with sharks etc.

Really well looked after and displays/tanks particularly impressive. The sharks and rays were in the most amazing tank that can be viewed from all angles.

An average experience with huge queues and hordes of people. Pleasant staff . Sadly very little translated into English in the museum area which was a shame because we would have liked to have an understanding of Biarritz maritime history. Very expensive at €65 for a family of 5 with a teen and 4 year old. I would save your money and go to the beach

Very worth the visit , lots of nice opportunities to view the sea life in under water glass tunnels and caves. There is also a splendid exhibition of the mammals skeletons arranged in size. The only down side is that all the information given is in French so all the cinema experiences were only fun to watch not to listen too. It seems like they are not expecting foreign visitors.

The aquarium is worth visiting if you are in Biarritz.
The aquarium is built into a hill side, and it gives a very natural feeling when you are in the building.
There are different levels for each exhibitions, and the sea lion feeding is on the top.
The aquarium is high class exhibition - the turtle part is amazing, the shark tank and ray tank are trully mesmerising.
The middle of the building is filled with skeletons and real life size animals - very visual.
The explorer part, the whale hunting exhibition are really informative, the ship models are very precise and detailed.
It is a great program on a rainy day - but even if it is sunny, well worth visitning.
Recommended for everyone, from early ages.

Excellent way to enjoy a few hours inside on a very cold windy April day. We enjoyed all of the displays, particularly all of the different tropical fish displays. The explanations were posted in French and English (and other languages too), and we were free to wander through the exhibits at our own pace. It was very wheelchair friendly and we had no barriers and no need to ask for help along the way. The displays were interesting and there was an amazing assortment of species from around the world and all climates.

Really enjoyable visit. The new control’s for entry we’re in place which perhaps reduced the number of visitors but maybe this was an advantage. The numerous tanks were very well presented and digital displays gave a lot of information on the Marine résidents.
The larger animals, particularly the turtles apparently arrived following rescue and some are released when fully recovered. The shark tank was the most popular with the family and indeed there were many viewing windows at different levels that allowed a full appreciation.
Looking at some of the round tanks with the mask made some of us sea sick which perhaps pushed us around faster than we would have otherwise.
The building itself is a beautiful work of Art Deco and the surroundings will occupy a good bit of time as well.

Bonjour.

Hola.

Bonne visite!
