Wonderful path right along the river, allowing you to stroll while viewing the historic buildings of Old Bordeaux, and giving you access to shops and restaurants as well. Very lovely and peaceful place to walk, night or day.

We walked along it from just even with the entrance to Old City all the way up to the Wine Museum. It was a nice walk with ships around, river scenes, cafes and lots of sights. We did the walk both days in Bordeaux.
The promenade by the waterfront is a nice place to stroll along both in day time or at night. Apart from viewing the ships on one side, you can also see the beautiful structures on the other side, particularly the City Mirror at night time.
