Wonderful path right along the river, allowing you to stroll while viewing the historic buildings of Old Bordeaux, and giving you access to shops and restaurants as well. Very lovely and peaceful place to walk, night or day.

The full moon was the unexpected delight, as was the level of activity lining our cruise ship's berth along the river. This was a piece of paradise. The reflecting pools at the foot of Place Royal (Place de la Bourse) were reminiscent of Budapest on...More

In the last several years the port of the moon has seen a major upgrade. There is a great path that runs along it where you can go for a nice stroll, ride a bike, or go for a run. There are grassy patches where...More

Small stretch of land, full of history. Reflection of the ideas of the philosophers of the Enlightenment. Architecturally, a very symmetrical and coherent group of buildings with more listings than any other city in France, except Paris. And the wine ties the city to virtually...More

We walked along it from just even with the entrance to Old City all the way up to the Wine Museum. It was a nice walk with ships around, river scenes, cafes and lots of sights. We did the walk both days in Bordeaux.

The promenade by the waterfront is a nice place to stroll along both in day time or at night. Apart from viewing the ships on one side, you can also see the beautiful structures on the other side, particularly the City Mirror at night time.

Really just a bight in the river, but none the worse for that. When the tide is low it's possible to see the hulks of wartime cargo ships scuttles by the Germans.

Crescent shaped area of the Garonne, that has a promenade along the river that affords great views of the bridges and the facades of Old Bordeaux. This is a nice place to stroll during the day, and even better during the night. There are numerous...More

Port of the Moon is an interesting name, and until I read the reviews, I had no idea why it was called this. I think it's just a very nice area, a lovely stroll along the river, have lunch or a drink, do a little...More
