We went in just to see the mummies, special show. In fact most exhibits were fakes (tutankhamun?) But the captions didn't say, so it was hard to trust what were probably the few real exhibits. There were English captions, printed smaller specially to make them hard to read. We were given some sort of hi tech bracelet to wear. I... More

Hello, first we are sorry if your visit to this shows disappointed you. Concerning the replicas present in the shows, there is an indication on the description when that is the case. For the bracelets that have been given to you, a moderator explains how it works. Finally, with regard to the rest of the building, the themes of the... More

On our trip to Bordeaux we carved out a day for our boys (5 and 7) to do what they wanted. We came to Cap Sciences to do the Expo Mission Archéo and wish we hadn't. When buying tickets we were told the materials were in both French and English which was not the case. Even though English was an... More

As 2 grown-ups who travel a lot, we have visited science museums in various parts of the world. For a small fee we entered this one. There were 2 exhibitions: economy and archeology. The economy part was fairly interesting, some of the interactive bits were OK for us. But it seemed much more geared to the classes of teenage schoolkids... More

It looks like a good place to hold children's birthday parties and they do have a wee kitchen for kids to learn how to cook French Toast. But the exhibition on geology was mostly a bunch of cartoons and silly games.

My daughter (12) loves it here. She says it's great for adults and children. I feel myself that she is approaching the upper age limit though! The current space exhibition is great and the simulator good fun for adults and kids though the talk is in French. It's a great option on a Sunday afternoon if you want to do... More

Cap Science is a small sized science museum and one of the main attractions if you are visiting Bordeaux with kids. Not crowded on weekdays. Closed at lunch hour. Make sure you check the hours they are open to public before you go. All the activities for children are in French so the children would not be able to attend... More

Cap science is very good. However not for older children. For children under 10 years of age. It is also a disappointment if you have already been to larger science museums like the science center in Toronto. Not large. Very important buy your tickets on line prior to going, if not plan on spending some time in the line up... More

Very interesting and educational venue. Great Dinosaur Exhibition from January 2014 to January 2015 Children and adults will both enjoy the hands on exhibits and practical demonsrations. Interesting spot by the river and shops with lots of places to eat.

Our family really enjoyed the centre's exceptional 'inside the mind' exhibition with our 10 and 15 year-old children even wanting to go back a week after first visiting. Check the CAP Science web site for times and information as it isn't usually open in the morning to the public. Very easy to get to, just take the tram to Bassins... More
