This pedestrianised street has a decent selection of shops..........both chain stores and individual boutique stores. Wander down side streets to get a better selection..............and rest you feet for a while with a lunch stop at the many restaurants on offer.

This is about quantity of shops rather than quality. If you want to find shops that are more original, more upmarket and also avoid the crowds, then go elsewhere! On the positive side, however, it's a beautiful street with no vehicle access.

Lots of stores on this long shopping street. Has a lot of favourites. Would recommend for a day activity. Some fun speciality stores are a must.

The start of this shopping street is not much to look at, but as you walk up towards the Esplanade it gets better. Lovely architecture, of course lots of cafe's and bars as well as the usual shops. Lots of side streets to explore as...More

This is a very long pedestrians shopping street and also full of cafes, bakeries, ice cream shops. Be sure to take side streets as they were less crowded and yes Rue St. Catherine is crowded.

I'm not into shopping at all - but my wife loves it - and this street was shopping heaven. A wide, pedestrian-only street that runs the length of old town parallel to the river. Even if you don't buy anything, this is some of the...More

shops and markets and street life. to see the heart of bordeaux; go all the way down the street to the open air market where you will find fish mongers, cheese merchants and an ethnic food court

If you're young and looking for cheap clothing, this is the place to be. For me the roads leading off were far more interesting shop and architecturally. The 'living' statues were excellent.
