Busiest street ever

More shops on this street than any other in Europe. It is long and straight with interesting things to see in the side streets.

If you like shopping you will be in heaven and it seems most of Bordeaux loves shopping too. On Saturday it was an amazing scene as most of the city's people were on the shopping strip. All of "the names" are represented and others as well to provide a variety of offers. Don't stick to Rue Ste Catherine as there... More

This pedestrian Street is a main shopping street with rather affordable shops and food outlets, very animated and pleasant to walk. It has a slight slope offering a beautiful view. Some perpendicular streets are good extentions to roam in.

This is supposed o be the man shopping street in Bordeaux. It is very long and usually very crowded as it is considered a "must-see". The prices in most of the shops were prohibitive for the ordinary person but the many cafés were more reasonable, especially down the end nearest the university but they were also more crowded and noisy

A great place to stroll along and window shop! Used this street to acclimate to Bordeaux and learn where our hotel was situated. So many wonderful sights to see and sample too.
