The town hall is very impressive to look at, but it is closed for renovations and will not be open for visitors before 2024. We came here to take the "hop-on, hop-off" bus which has its starting point from here.

Dominated by the impressive Town Hall, Albert Square is a perfect place from which to survey the eclectic nature of Manchester’s architecture.

Had a great evening in the Christmas markets, great food, great atmosphere, wasn't too busy for a Friday night, had a couple of really nice beers. Will be definitely coming again next year.

It was quite nice to wander into Albert Square on a freezing cold yet clear and sunny blue-skied day. This is the first time for seemingly many a while since, for me at least, it didn't have some display or market or similar ongoing. Always...More

you have to at least take a walk through the square and enjoy the history. I have taken many friends here from overseas and they love it!
