I was privileged to attend a Christmas function here with the magical Lucinda Drayton. It was a perfect afternoon- stunning architecture, wonderful company (I'd come on my own but was made to feel so welcome!)....pure magic! The monastery is well worth visiting and they hold various spiritual events during the year. It's also available for weddings. Wow!!

We had planned our works Christmas party back in April. £45 a head which we didn't mind as the night sounded great. What a disappointment the night was. We queued about 40 minutes to get served at a type of bar. The food took an absolute age to come out. Soup was ok, but the main course was appalling. Lots... More

We have arranged our works do here (NHS) and less than 2 weeks prior to the event we have had the menu which is appalling with ONE choice of each item none of which many of us eat/like. You have to order drinks in advance and the prices are astronomical - it's inner city Manchester at the end of teh... More

This building has been fantastically restored and now makes a great events venue for all kinds of occasions. We were there at a friends wedding and the wedding service was excellent. After the wedding the food drink and venue could not be faulted

The venue is amazing, if you want a WOW factor i would really recommend this venue. The staff and the service excelled and the evening wouldn't have been possible without the great organisation leading up to the event. From start to finish the event was amazing!

I moved to Gorton a few years ago and visited the monastery about a year ago. It was very interesting to see the restoration work in progress and how they raised funds for the repairs. A lot of money is raised by having it as a wedding venue Sadly this cuts down the time people can visit. The little café... More

Visited the Monastery in early August for my best friends wedding. This is a beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony/reception. We did turn up the day before the wedding and the builders were in but we were assured this would all be gone for the big day. Still currently undergoing some renovations inside but nothing noticeable once all of the... More

Not what you expect to find in North Manchester around the corner from Man City's ground. "Manchester’s Taj Mahal” The building is huge with a very special feel - some say spiritual. More akin to London or Paris than Manchester, the Monastery is a huge structure that has been brought back to life and restored by the current very dedicated... More
