Last night I decided to go on a Manchester Walking Tour and I WAS NOT disappointed! A friendly and knowledgable lady named Barbara showed me around Manchester. I was the only one on the tour today however this did not phase Barbara at all. Highly recommend!! I learnt so much about Manchester's history, architecture, celebrities, etc. thoroughly enjoyed my time!

In 2 hours, our excellent guide, Eileen Allen, entertained and packed us full of information about what makes Manchester what it is today. Her knowledge and delivery were first class and I would heartily recommend this tour. Even though the famous Manchester rain poured down non stop, this did not spoil it for me. I would heartily recommend this tour... More

A brilliant tour & explanation of the Clock Tower, a climb up the tower - several levels and at each stage an explanation of the - pendulum room - mechanism and clock face. Then out on to the balcony!! a fantastic view of the greater Manchester area - for miles!! The information concerning the building was very informative and interesting... More

Thank you so much for your positive review. Unfortunately, tours of the Clock Tower are currently unavailable due to restoration work taking place within Manchester Town Hall. Hopefully, we will be able to offer them again in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, we have plenty of other interesting tours around Manchester on ground level! More

Thank you so much for this intensive and interesting history lesson about the city. It joined up lots of dots of places we had previously visited. Very professional and friendly guide, hope we meet again on another tour.

I booked this tour on line early this morning as we (husband ,daughter 20 and I) are travelling and we wanted the local touch of information from a historian. Well we were not disappointed with Suzanne who with great skill delivered a lively and entertaining history presentation to our tour group. We were all drawn into the detailed descriptions of... Met up with walking tour guide John outside the Library. His tour took us around the major location associated with the history of the cotton industry and its crucial importance for the growth and past wealth of the city, also the development of workers' rights, women's suffrage and the Labour movement. Walk lasted about 2hours, good value for £8.

Jonathan Schofield took us round on Tuesday. Informative, factual, anecdotal, entertaining, fun and subtle. Now I understand why libraries are Manchester's palaces and even appreciate modern architecture a bit more. Highly recommended and very good value.

What a brilliant walk!!! I know Manchester quite well (or thought I did!!!), but Emma really brought the city and it's history to life. She presented all the facts in a humourous and user friendly way!!!

On a Friday morning I met the guide Eileen and a fellow tourist by the library and started a tour round central Manchester. In less than two hours we saw the main sights and also gained insight in how and why Manchester became what it is now. Some things were off limits as Kate and William were in town, but... More

Together with around 20 others, we met our guide Joan Davies at 11.00 at the Central Library for a two hour walking tour of central Manchester. A local resident and city councillor, Joan was brimming with knowledge of the city's rich social, architectural and industrial history - and its vibrant 21st century renaissance . All of this was communicated in... More
