We had a good coffee and the staff were nice , the cakes were average bur over priced , not a bad little cafe over all.

Outside city centre but worth a visit . Car parking tricky , but also on various bus routes . Much improved with new extension . Attractive cafe .

There was a lot on when we went. Modern dance/art installations in one area. Several special exhibitions. The cafe is in a glass walled extension that feels like you are in the park among the trees. The food was of exceptional standard for a museum...More

Set in Whitworth Park, not only has the gallery augmented its display with interesting exhibitions (recently Hockney) and some good film and live exhibitions built the extension and its aspect are spectacular. Perhaps a little spartan, but a tremendous space. Definitely should be on any...More

The Whitworth Art Gallery is an interesting gallery to visit if you have spare time in Manchester. The cafe and park made it a pleasant visit.

I love the Whitworth, I go whenever I visit Manchester. I love the building and the café with its large windows. Be warned it is ALWAYS busy in the cafe no matter what day of the week you go, so be prepared to wait for...More

Beautiful location, great food and nice staff! We booked beforehand, for a fairly large group. Everything was set, nice table at a really good spot. Highly recommended.

see Wikipedia, but the museum is in Whitworth park, and one of the benefactors was Joseph Whitworth f This tells you all. f

The Greenheys car park, just off Denmark Road, barely two blocks from the Whitworth, is lovely. £1/hour, with a parking attendant.
